Company Background

North Spas really is a family business with 6 members of two families taking part in the day-to-day running of the Company.

After many years in both military and civilian Public Service, founder Brian Durham identified an exciting opportunity to continue to serve the public in the Lifestyle and Leisure Sector. Whilst customer services manager and qualified nurse Melanie identified the links with hydrotherapy and all the health benefits associated with their wide range of products, Son Joe (Sales and Water Technician) has gained nationally recognised qualifications required to ensure any issues regarding water quality and safety are adhered to rapidly and professionally.

In November 2007 David Mason also an ex-serviceman, was introduced as a partner at North Spas. Offering investment and expertise in customer services and public relations and an impressive work ethic identified by Brian as a major requirement to move North Spas further towards their goal of becoming the largest and most successful spa, pool and sauna retailer in the North East of England. Heather Mason has taken on the demanding role of managing company accounts, allowing Brian and David more time to concentrate on sales and installations and continue their policy of maintaining their 100% record of satisfied customers

In January 2008 North Spas increased its floor space by over 3 times and it’s display spas to double and more recently have moved into the Decorative Wrought Iron Sector offering Decorative fencing, gates and automated systems, and also domestic electrical installations with their fully qualified and registered Part P electrician.

The business was only launched in early Spring of 2006, but as a result of significant capital investment North Spas has rapidly developed to its present situation of being able to demonstrate and offer for sale a broad and impressive selection of Spa, Pool models and related products over a wide price range.

In December 2007 North Spas was awarded the Artesian Spas “Award of Excellence in Customer Care and Services, priding ourselves on being able to offer the most comprehensive range of spa and associated products in the North East of England and boasting the largest, most diverse display of Hot Tubs anywhere in the area.
